A Long Week

It has felt like a very long week this past week and we now have the weekend to look forward to with the added bonus of cooler weather. So where to start?.....well one quilt is finished so we drove to the nearby historic National Trust Property known as the Willunga Courthouse Museum to get some photos. Probably not the best day as the sun was so bright but it is so nice to have the quilt completed........

During the week I had meetings at the Art Gallery of South Australia in preparation for the William Morris tours with the first one only five weeks away!! It is a busy time in the city as the Adelaide Festival is on for the next two weeks so we are planning to visit the Parade of Light one evening next week. This installation will be wonderful to see at night right outside the Art Gallery...........
It is always a joy to visit the gallery and see new acquisitions.........
 and old...........
There has been some of this during the past week as well. Wade is now making eye contact and those first smiles melt the heart..............

We had a little helper once again...........
Emily helped out with Wade at her place as well and sent me this lovely early morning image..........
It is nice to see the little ones getting along.....Emily tells us they have their moments as all siblings do!.......
So for this very long week there is not much else to share apart from the horror of a baby brown snake crawling past the back door one day - we called the snake catcher and they informed us they will only come if we've cornered the snake or covered it in a wet blanket! Brown snakes are my biggest fear and only an hour earlier little Maisie had been playing in the very spot we saw it  - well Larry saw it.....you would have heard me scream from the other side of the world if I had! So we now stamp our feet each time we walk outside. We also had this not so friendly spider that we think was an Australian wolf spider that Larry kindly relocated down the street in the creek.........
I will finish tonight with this thought provoking mural that resides on the wall where we often have a coffee from The Paradox of our Time by Dr Bob Moorehead. It is so very true and in some sense also sad but I love it........
You can hear it all on this video as well.....
So till next time.........I will take a deep calming breath and smile at how lucky we all are x

  1. I absolutely love how Wade is growing - such a delightful smile on his face - I showed the photo to Mike this morning we both smiled at how he looks like a new born but we know he is about 3 months old now - I didn't tell you at the time as I wanted just positive thoughts going to you but we knew someone who had their baby premature within days of when Wade was born and was 12 weeks early but the little died at 2 days old - it was so sad. I am so pleased though to see Wade looking happy. I love the quilt you show - such a beauty!! I'm sure the Wm. Morris Tours will be fantastic

  2. I hope each day all things get better and you never see another snake again! Lucky you dont have a cat, as they tend to bring their "catches" to you!
